How do you like the Mesa over the roughtech stock? Thinking of throwing my 6.5 prc roughtech in a mess altitude or ag composite

I like it so far, I have a RT in 243Win ember I’m leaving on, with a straight grip. The RT stock on 6.5 was that ugly beige.

My experience with the Mesa is that it has a unique combination of recoil-exaggerating features. Would rather run factory plastic with vertical grip.

AG makes a decent stock if you don’t beat it up and can deal with the trigger reach.

Didn't have that issue.

What stock is this? Getting this rifle for a donor build. Seller says it's a Roughtech, maybe it's an older one?

What are all the differences between the old T3 and the T3X? Are they plug and play with T3X aftermarket parts?

One for sale locally and I need a donor action.

Yes, plug and play. The biggest fault was that they used an aluminum recoil lug, but that’s a super simple $20 fix. The action port was a little smaller than on the T3X, but that actually seals it up tighter from the elements. It’s possible the T3 trigger is lighter than the X, and the action can be smoother than the X as well.

B&C stocks don’t get a lot of love, but I’ve gotten behind a few doing load dev for people and for a sporter stock it feels good to get behind.
Haven’t had a chance to shoot yet, but just shouldering it and dry firing a few times prone, I’m a fan. Also doesn’t hurt that it looks 10x better than factory stock imo

Gawd dammit... tikkas sure are addictive. Just picked up my T3x that was just fitted with a zero taper .810 barrel from Swan Barrels. 7PRC. 24" 1:8in. Comes in at 10lb3oz with the NX8 and Grayboe Phoenix

I went out and did a quick test to see where I hit pressure today. Shot a 5 shot group with 180gr ELDM, Virgin ADG, CCI250s, and AR2225, despite being a ladder it all went into a 0.6" group. The five shots were 67.0, 67.5, 68.0, 68.5, 69.0gr. I couldn't be happier with that, excited to see how it groups for a +10 shot group when it has the same powder charge, considering this group was shot standing leaning over a bench with a bipod.

Tikka 22-250 I have also posted a few times, at 665 yards this morning prone with a rear bag. One bad wind hold but this rifle really came alive with another Stockys VG and some Lapua brass. 88 ELDM at just shy of 3k are filthy.

Last zeroing groups on my twin 6 CM and 22-250
