It’s always been my tightest barreled action, and that hasn’t changed in the Bravo. Extremely shootable. That looks like a primo budget nrl setup especially for someone who’s already got an extra bravo laying around. Does it shoot tight?

It does make a big difference.I really prefer it. I switched both my Tikkas to the vertical grip.
McGowan #4. Don’t recall the weight off the top of my head, but about 4oz lighter than the 22” light profile carbon 6 280ai (featherweight? Can’t remember what they call it). That .338 hole in the middle does a great job lightening a barrel!

What's the chambering on this bad boy? I want to shoot that gun haha! Under 8 lbs is sweet!
25-284 is done.
Shot first 20 rounds today after pressure testing a few days ago. It took 2 shots to set zero and then I shot 18 for effect. Target is 1.25" and distance was 100 yards. Had pretty bad mirage by the last 5 or 6 shots, and without this I think I could've gotten them all in the bull.

It made sense for me, because I already had a Tikka in .25-06. As a result, I didn't have to swap out the bolt or bolt stop, and I could use the same mags.I keep trying to come up with a reason to build a 25-284. Love the 284 case, have a couple 6.5-284 and a 338-284. I’ve already got a 1/4 bore (257Ackley), though it is pretty COAL limited in a model 7, so I didn’t twist it fast since long bullets don’t fit well anyway.
