I’ll throw mine in mine in the mix. Started out as a .223 but added a OMR 18” prefit in 6mm creedmoor, put it in a MDT chassis and topped with a vortex pst gen. It’s a pleasure to shoot!

I see you have an innorel ballhead…I have the N44. How is that working out for ya?

I have the N44 on there as well. It works great but would even better if were a throw lever style clamp instead of the knob to tighten ball down.
As for the tripod, this is my first and so far I have zero complaints.

My innorel tripod is a little heavier than yours with a removable center piece. My N44 gets loose at the base sometimes when panning If I run the ball to stiff. I really like the setup for glassing with my little Maven or shooting. Very nice rifle there!

How are you liking this stock?

I have a Mesa Precision, but the Stockys is 10oz lighter, and also on sale right now. Easy way to ditch some weight.

Stockys vg is superior to the mess in every single aspect

Beautiful SW Montana day. Got my CTR in 308 out to 1k today. Went 9/10 on a 10” gong and 10/10 on the 1/2 silhouette, before the wind started. Hammered every piece of steel they had from 200-1k yards with pretty good success even in the wind. The 168FGMM never lets me down in this rifle but today made me want something like the 7PRC to help buck the wind.

Bravo with a minimalist spigot? The 308 is fun to shoot way out there. It will make you a good wind caller.

Sorry to revive a thread/post from the past, but what height rings did you get to fit the SWFA 5-20x50 on the tikka?

Thanks!

Any ideas how it compares to manners EH1 in terms of feel? I’ve not handled any of them but am planning a 300WSM Tikka build and wondering if I don’t care about perfect fit/finish on a hunting rifle or manners name if I’d be better off spending $ on other things and go with the stockys vg.

Was really looking at EH1 and P2/mesa altitude as best options depending on if I want to match my KRG xray or go more like a traditional/hybrid route.

I really like my manners and will likely be very conflicted when my rokstock arrives which to go with

The manners is a lot heavier though, my eh1tk with mini chassis, 2 qd cups and a pic rail is 37.5 ounces

It is a really nice stock though and is very stiff. It has zero flex anywhere

Are you going directly to the integral rail, or are you adding a pic rail?

I used an Area 419 rail with low SWFA rings for a couple of 50 mm objective scopes, including a 5-20 SWFA, on Tikkas, and the height is about as low as you can get away with. I can post up some pics when I get home.

All the manners lacks is the negative comb, and it’s a little heavy. The manners also has an appropriate length to the trigger.

I’m a smaller guy and I know I couldn’t get along with the sticky’s, Iv sold stocks because I had to reach too far to the trigger.

Like the above poster when the rokstock comes it’s going to take a lot for me to replace my eh1s with it. The eh1 like the bravo has the right lines for all around shooting vs a chassis.
