Re-do on my Tikka 7SAUM. When the Smith lies about a bunch of shit and won't do as you asked then calls you an Asshole you return thier shit and move on. Also changed to a MBM TI Beast self timer. Mike @ Hell's Canyon Armory killed it. Huge shout out to Mike.

I don't see the Tikka action as a standard offering on the AG web page. Was it a custom or did you inlet it? What action type do you start with?

Yeah I don't know why it doesn't list them on their website. But they definitely do sell them for Tikka's. I started out with a T3X in 7Rem Mag.

I contacted AG a couple months ago about Tikka stocks and this is what they told me.
Per AG composites: You can order the Alpine hunter & Privateer stocks through Oregon Mountain Rifles, Macs GunWorks, or Nielson Custom rifles.

I’m not a savvy gun guy and I’m tweaking my T3 300winmag. Just got a stock ordered from B&C gets in Wednesday and now trying to decide on what scope I’m gonna replace. Wish me luck haha

Finally have something to add to this thread, headed up to shoot it now and hopefully find a load like with 205 Berger’s and reloader 26
It’s a 300 win mag super light, ti pro brake, trigger spring, verticle grip, Hawkins rings and bushnell 4.5-18 lrhs hopefully she shoots good and this will be my elk rifle and my upcoming 6.5 saum will be my deer/antelope setup

Started life as a stainless CTR, will be my rifle for local steel matches. No way it would ever come hunting wt
-Manners T6A with tikka mini chassis
-Bottom metal is built in with the mini chassis and is awesome.
-Bartlein 26” MTU contour, 6.5 CM saami chamber
-Hawkins tank ST brake
-Area 419 rail
-MT bolt knob
-ARC scope rings
-4-32 NX8
-sterk bolt shroud.

I don’t have a weight on it but it’s heavy. Here’s the first group through the rifle.


If I could go back it would have a sterk bolt handle and a spuhr direct mount to the tikka dovetail.

Would a spuhr direct mount use a recoil pin and would that allow enough scope mounting flexibility? I’ve seen a number of people complain of erectors getting bound up from spuhr mounts too close to either end of the scope tube.

I’m not sure about the tactical mounts, because I don’t have one and specifically did not get one for this build knowing the nx8 isn’t the most friendly scope to mount.

I did just get a spuhr tikka direct mount from their hunting line for my 223. The rings are significantly slimmer, spaced pretty far apart. The recoil pin can be moved quite a bit.

I won’t have a scope to mount in it till I get my rifle back from coating and threading, but I’ll be sure to post up.

Eliminating that rail would be nice though.
