I did the Pattern A Standard Helix.

Just sitting a little under 8 lbs. I am also changing out the VX5 for a VX3 for her just to get it a touch lighter and put a simple duplex in there.

Here's my semi custom. Tikka t3x 7mm-08, cut down to 18" and cerakoted ODG. TBAC CB brake installed, waiting on a Ultra 7. Hand painted stock.



Also a question: 1st photo below is my 7mm rm tikka and the 2nd photo is the new 7mm-08. Look at the difference of where they sit in the stock. Is this normal? 7mm-08 seems seated properly, bolt functions fine.

Ya it is not seated in the stock correctly, I had the same thing happen the other day after a cleaning. Got it all put together and went to put my bipod on and caught it.

300wm factory barreled action
Mesa Precision Altitude stock with bedding job done by yours truly
Mountain Tactical bottom metal
MT 20moa rail, also bedded
Zeiss Precision rings
Zeiss V4 6-24x50 w/T20i reticle.
Elay Precision trigger spring

I have plans to eventually upgrade the barrel but the thing is a shooter still, also can’t decide what caliber to go with for the next barrel.

Tried to read through most of this but didn’t get too far. What are my stock options if I want a vertical grip, adjustable cheek piece, arca rail, and able to feed a ~3.2” coal from a mag?

Something like a bravo or XRS would be perfect except for the short mags.

Talley lightweights with a Leupold VX5 3-15

Pretty happy with how it turned out!

Yeah, really trying to stay with a traditional stock or hybrid type.

I either didn’t get a straight answer or it was no, but can the AG stocks accept the LA mags? I could probably be happy with that and no integrated cheek riser.

Or a Manners PRS1 (?) and McMillan game warden 2.0, but not sure about mag length on those.


Has anyone ram a Woox yet?

I’m sure most folks can inlet for a Mountain Tac or Redsnake bottom metal that accepts LA AICS mags.

Here's my ongoing project.

Tikka T3 that came as a 30-06 from the factory.
18" Criterion 30-06 barrel that I bought in a moment of weakness.
T3X stock and vertical grip. DIY barrel channel and paint job
SWFA 10x with the turrets trimmed down by Shaen Rifles
TBAC Ultra 7 to keep things civilized

It's ugly but it shoots and one of a kind!
