Love that ‘06 Yellowknife! Wonder what Luke is hiding...
Sounds like you might have a few Tikkas hiding out as well. Would love to see your 6 pound rig.
Slick looking rifle luke! What powder are you using?Figured I would update this now that I its pretty much done:
Tikka 300 WSM, 22" Sendero Lite 300 WSM barrel, South Fort Labs carbon stock.
1 oz over 6 pounds with a pic rail on it.
Just under 8.25 pounds with a 4-16 NF ATACR (heavy SOB but I like it for the purpose of this rifle)
Hair under 9 pounds to make it quiet:
Def more bling factor than any real weight savings, but its an accurate son of a gun with the initial load work ups with 208 ELDs at over 2900 fps.
Yes sir it is. Add a grippy clear coat which is why it looks so shiny. Is that one of the stocks from stockys?

Luke, did your "bottom plastic" fit flush or did the stock need to be inletted more to sink it? I have that stock and the factory Tikka bottom plastic is a little proud. Purely cosmetic, but it bugs me.
Thanks

What bolt handle ya got on that 280? Looks nice, factory tikka knobs are kinda a turn off for me• Caliber: 300WSM
• Action: Tikka T3x
• Barrel: 24” Hells Canyon Armory (benchmark core) 1:9.5
• Stock: McMillan gamescout sporter fill
• Scope: Zeiss HD5 turret 3-15x42
• Caliber: 280AI
• Action: Tikka M695
• Barrel: 24” Obermeyer 5R sporter 1:9
• Stock: Factory
• Scope: Vortex viper HS 4-16x44 (due for an upgrade)
Thanks. Tore it down today - mine's flush now too. More better.Yes it fits flush.
Curious why all the chassis say Short action only? When tikkas are all the same action size, and so are their magazines. Is it due to the bolt hitting the stock?
