Got this buck in Kansas late November

My first elk hunt! Colorado.
I made the bow for this hunt. Public land. did it myself. I was invited to join a group that had been hunting there for several years.
This was the best hunt of my life! I can't wait to go back and try for a bull! This hunt I was so excited to go on the hunt I was going to shoot the first legal elk that I got an opportunity at.
I saw this elk come out of a clearing while I was crossing a park near the top of the mountain.
I was about 60 yards away from it. When it walked behind a large spruce tree I RAN at the tree to try and close the gap. When it stepped out the other side I stopped and shot! So exciting! It had sleeted the night before and the ground was covered in white. The tracking job was pretty easy lol

Shot this nice doe at 15 yards January 9th 2017. Late season in Montana. Omega imperial, beman centershots, VPA 200 grain 2 blade

Late season Montana whitetail doe. Shot her on Monday evening. 12 yards, quartering away, Zwickey Eskimo 2 blade with 100 grain insert. She went 10 yards.
