Let's see some NRL hunter rifles

I’ve been looking around and for $550 I can get a grayboe trekker which is about the same weight as the xlr magnesium. With that contour of barrel do you see your groups opening up after an NRL hunter course of fire? Also, did you have to do anything special when adding the muzzle break since the barrel is pretty thin?
I haven't ever seen one of those in person yet. No my groups don't open up the barrel shoots consistent 4-5 shot fist size groups at 500 yards in the summer so it works from me. I placed 2nd in open light last year with it also. Its threaded 1/2"-28 so just have to have one that fits that is all. The seekins NR2 is a pretty thin profile too and people seem to do good with that as well. Just keep it cooled down between stages.

What do you do to keep your barrel cool? Also, do you know how much your barrel weighs without the break on?

Running my AI this year. 15lb 14.8 oz as she sits. I’ll bring a plastic bag rider with me just in case their scale isn’t calibrated

@Mhahn2 Just in front of the mag well. Sits by itself on a bag without any tilt with bipod on. Dropped over 7 lbs from her normal config!

Nice. I love the look of the atx would love to have one eventually. I figured it would be rear heavy I guess the suppressor helps a lot with the balance.

Is that an NX-8 4-32x? Proof pre-fit or a different contour cut by your smith? Which can?

I'm planning on an AT-X with Proof pre-fit, ATAR 4-16x, and Scythe Ti in June

Correct. NX8 4-32, MDT 1.5 light rings, and a DD Enticer LTI can. I switched to the Coletac Corset can cover to save a little weight and also switched to a 3D printed bag rider to save weight so I can run a send it level. Barrel is a proof prefit I won a cert for. Keep in mind I have the long upper bridge on still.

Your scope is a couple ounces heavier I think but your can js a couple ounces lighter so you’ll be right on the edge like I am. Worse case just pull your bag rider. I don’t think you can run a bipod heavier than an Atlas type. Definitely no cyke double pulls! I have the leg extenders on my atlas pictured I think for this weight. Depending on your upper bridge you’ll be close or have room to spare! Keep us posted!

Yeah, my scope is 1.6oz heavier but I'll take off my long bridge with full length co-planar rail. I have a Magpul PRS rail cover that makes for a good lightweight bag-rider instead of the aluminum one I normally use.

This will be my first year shooting NRL. I built a 6.5PRC and will be sending factory 147ELDM. I will not be competing, just using it as practice this year. Because of that, I plan on using the same rifle, ammo, optics, and tripod that I actually hunt with. Should be fun!
Are you able to add weight to this chassis?

Are you able to put extra weight on this rig?
So I have a similar setup today as I did in the pic except the barrel is now 24”, the optic is a 5-25 mk5 and I have a triple pull MDT. That leaves me 4-5 ounces to stay in Open Light (12lbs). If I wanted to shoot Open Heavy I have 4lbs + to mess with. You can legally add weight in Open divisions.
