Let see your best camp photos!

Here's a few from last season. 1st Rifle @ our 11k high camp snowed 18" opening day. 3 of us crammed into the Tipi after my friends first bull, finished breaking it down right as another storm rolled in at 10.5k across the canyon..

I’m curious, How’d you like that extra tarp set-up? I assume that was to help with snow load? Was it effective? Worth the extra hassle of setting up? No damage to the top tarp resting on the peak of the tipi?

I’m typically September hunting so snow isn’t usually a big problem, but like you mentioned there can always be a big dump of snow coming thru.

The tipi is actually my buddies set up. The tarp works really well for keeping the snow/ rain off, don't use it if he's packing the stove in. Extra set up time is minimal, a couple extra minutes, and snow dumps at the edges instead of down the walls. No damage to the tarp, and it's a super light Sil tarp. The tipi pocket in the Kifaru is well padded. I actually had packed my Go-lite tarp tent that trip, but after getting the bull taken down and a blizzard rolling in setting it up wasn't even a consideration. I typically carry my Kuiu Mountainstar if I'm going solo in the rifle seasons, but if with my buddy the tipi is the primary and my tarp tent is the spike camp tent.

My first time trying out the Stone Glacier shell, paired it with a bivy sack. Nice little spot in a depression to get out of the wind; and only about 35 yards away from some fantastic views…

A photo my son took during a break in the wx on our 10-day float in remote western Alaska...my apologies for the dorky guy at the end of the rainbow (definitely not a pot of gold LOL!)...

Edit: I added the photo above for context...moving every day and a new camp every night for ten-days and a hundred-miles.
