Coldest night of my life lol. I've learned a lot from this camp including how cold I can be without frostbite. Have since uprgraded my gear and dont mind packing a stove for sub zero!

I understand the bear wire, but a question what if ya got a pee at 0 dark thirty in a hurry. ever get should we say too close to the wire. would be a life altering experience. nice camps

Speaking from the other side of the coin I can confidently say your dad is also very thankful to have a son who is still willing and able to get off the trail a bit. Keep gettin' after it!

There's really no need to even leave the shelter when it's floorless. And no, I've never experienced peeing on the hot wire.
