Leica geovid?

Anyone have any experience happy with the Leica geovids? Are they worth the hard earned dough ?
I’m debating on a late birthday present / reward for myself with my company bonus.

I have some vortex and leupold binoculars that have each been on a caribou and elk hunts .. upgrade or spend bonus elsewhere?

After looking through a pair of geovids that a buddy had while out hunting agout 5 years ago, I couldn’t believe what I was missing through my cheap Bushnells. I bought the geovid HDB 10x42 when they went on sale and I have no complaints, but I never owned a mid range pair, so take that for what it’s worth.

I have been using Geovids for 8+ years and have been very happy with them.

I was watching whitetails at over a mile and a half last night with a pair of 10x42 HD-B I bought in the classifieds. I'm happy with them.

The optical quality of a Leica has gained the reputation they have for a good reason, they are that good.

Not apples to apples but I have Noctivid. The clarity can't be appreciated till you look thru them. The color is simply outstanding. I'd say go for it. If you don't care for them they'll sell in the classifieds.

The new geovid3200.com are tricky best try them out as they don’t fit all faces, was intending to get them but they didn’t fit my face so I went with the geovid-R and they are super clear.

Good point, The ones I use are the older closed bridge HD-R, I had the newer open bridge but Like you they didn't fit me well with the wider eye cups.

Love mine, well worth the investment. I switched from swaro EL’s with swarovision and haven’t looked back.

Not a perfect comparison but I have the Ultravid HD+, one of their range finders and a 1.5-10x magnus scope.

The glass is outstanding across the board.

The Noctivid is Leica's highest quality units whereas the Geovid has more in common with the Ultravid series, would you agree? I have been battling (myself) on whether to try the new Geovid x32 Pro series
