@Isaac_Skelton34 got a hold of me and has a killer Mathews system to pass to someone who really needs it.

Could’a put it on the Pay It Forward thread but wanted to find someone who really needs this set up.

Once I open the thread, we’ll take up to 20 entries then go from there

Don’t need to break our hearts but if this would help somebody who might need this BECAUSE he/she really needs an upgrade and can’t afford it, it might be yours.

Yip, it’s a leftie (who says righties have all the fun?)

Haven’t totally decided how we’ll pick the right person, but we’ll take up to 150 words explaining your situation and why this gift would be good fit for you.

Hello Fellow Roksliders,

It has been put on my heart for some time now to make my ultimate passion for hunting some sort of ministry or outreach opportunity. Or at a bare minimum, glorify and honor God the Father by being a blessing with what He has so graciously given me. I prayed and prayed at how I could do this. He told me to hold my possessions loosely (it’s all ultimately His anyways).

As I was looking over my hunting gear, I looked at my compound bow! An overwhelming feeling told me that this was the item to give. I know Robby is a devout follower of Christ and he would share in my conviction of what I was wanting to do so I reached out to him and let him know my vision and it was game on!

One of you fellow Roksliders are going to have the opportunity at this *left handed* (sorry righties) Matthews VXR 31.5 in ranger green. It has been fully dressed to the 9’s with the Matthews 2 piece; 5 arrow quiver, Matthews 10” flatline stabilizer, Matthews Ultrarest integrate MX rest, Black Gold Revenge 5 pin sight, Day 6 Arrows with fletching’s and outsert, Heavy Duty Plano Case, Scott Shark wrist release & Kuiu SFS (sight, fletching, string) Bow cover. *Pictures all included*

This is well over a $1,500.00 package value that I am extremely excited to go to somebody who could really use it.

If you are the lucky recipient of this bow, I hope this will encourage you and anybody following this thread to search within themselves the true reason for why we are here: to glorify God & love others in the gifts, talents, time & abilities uniquely given to each of us.

If you would like any additional pictures or descriptions, please feel free to message me!

What a generous offer. I spoke with the owner of Shadow Creek Archery and he agreed to provide a free set of custom series side plates to the winner - your choice of color. The winner can send me their contact information and I will put them in touch with Shadow Creek Archery to place an order. Good luck to all....

Hello all I’m a new member to Rockslide and also the archery community. I am currently a freshman at the University of Tampa studying marine biology. Due to a housing crisis at UT I was forced to find an apartment off campus which I have to pay for on my own. I have been shooting for about a year now. My current bow is a Mission MXR, a great starter bow but I have started to outgrow it. Because of the apartment, funds are sadly low for archery. I am very invested in archery and would love to eventually go hunting or to TAC shoots with my dad some day. The bow I have now is not well suited for neither hunting or TAC and for my growing skills. Winning this bow would be amazing and help me on my archery journey. Thank you for this incredible opportunity. — Gabe

Hey guys. This is awesome idea from everyone involved. This stuff is why I really enjoy this site. I’ve been seriously archery hunting the passed three seasons with an older mathews helim. It served me well and I enjoyed shooting it. Though things have happened in the passed month or two. Things haven’t been great in my marriage found out my wife not being loyal to me. I ended up moving out back to my folks house for now. and have had to sell somethings to make ends meet, get some debt paid off, and get some new things for my son. That being said I had to sell off my helim and all the accessories so im with out a compound now. We’ll that’s my story as of now. I’m sure who ever ends up with a new Mathews will be putting it to good work!

This is awesome. Thanks @Isaac_Skelton34 and @robby denning for doing this. What a great gift for someone.

I have a left handed friend/ US soldier that I would like to nominate for this bow if that’s okay.

He is in the US Army, Married, 3 kids and 3 step kids. 2 are in college right now. He is the type of guy that would give everything and ask for nothing in return. Just how he is; that’s what makes him great. His current bow is from when he was 15, he’s now 37. He’s proud of that bow. But I know he would never buy a new bow for himself and as he puts his money towards his family. Outdoors and his family is everything to him; this is what drives him during his deployments overseas. He would be blown away with this gift and this is why I chose my friend the US Army soldier and proud father.

Thanks

I would like to nominate my brother Ben Wheeler.

The reason I want to nominate him is for his character. He’s a lefty too. I will never forget the moment after we packed out a bull in CO. We were wiped and he asked the wrangler who helped us how he could pray for them. He put his tired feelings to the side to care for someone else. This is one of many examples over the years I’ve seen him put others needs before his.

He has one bow and it’s a 2012 PSE target bow. He is currently searching for a new job while helping on my family’s farm. With a new baby at home and job searching I know this setup would blow his mind. It would be a setup he would use for a lifetime.

Really excited for whoever the winner is. I have the same bow in RH and it’s a dream to shoot.

This is a very generous offer and why I love this site. I’m semi new to this site and have always enjoyed the open dialogue and no nasty back and forth. I’m a lefty and have had a few bows but after having male breast cancer and getting a double mastectomy it’s tough to pull the bow back. I’ve been looking at purchasing a newer bow that can have the poundage adjusted down to help ease into the sport again. I am an older guy ( just turned 58 ) so don’t want this to turn into a sob story and I’m sure there are plenty of other members that deserve the opportunity to receive this generous gift.

Thank you !
