Lee Handprimer issues with 300 PRC and 6.5 Prc

Having issues with my Lee hand primer. Brass will slip, jump out before primer is set. Have had to redo about 5 out of every 20. Also have had primers start going in crooked.
Has anyone else had issues or is it just user error?
Using the correct shell holder

are the primer pockets tight?
Weatherby brass for my 6.5-300 is super tight and ended up having to ream them out.

There is something wrong with your shell holder.

Are you using a #5? My #5 is .4795" inside dia where it would engage the rim.

No I don’t believe so. I’ve tried cleaning the pockets to help

Yes the #5 double checked on the Lee website just to make sure.

How does your brass fit in your press shell holder?

How wide is your lee shell plate?

Could be a goofy case head too. I had a run of nosler brass that was undersized on the rim.

They fit fine in the press. I’ll have to measure the shell plate for the primer.
Possibly just got a lemon on the shell holder

Well. Ended up getting a RCBS universal primer and have had zero issues with any of cases now.
