Remington primer issue

I’ve been having trouble getting my Remington Magnum Primers to seat in both 375 H&H and 30-06 brass. I’ve used a primer pocket uniforming tool. It doesn’t matter if I use my Lyman hand primer or the tool on my RCBS press about two thirds of them won’t go fully flush. They sit up just a touch. Barely perceptible to feeling with your finger but definitely a wobble when placed on a flat surface.

I’m starting to think the primers are just a touch too tall.

Has anyone else run into this? Did you do anything to correct it?

I have the same issues with white river rifle magnum primers. I can crush some of them in using a lee ram priming tool and rock chucker.

Can't say I've had issues yet. I just seated 100 in ADG 300 PRC brass without any problems. I use the Frankford Arsenal hand priming tool.

Do other primers seat well with that same brass or have you tested? It sounds like it could be a depth issue with your brass.

I can’t get my hands on any other magnum primers. Still searching.

Might be worth testing it with a regular LR primer even if you have to sacrifice it. Frankly though, I seem to get better SDs with BR2s in my 300prc than with the 250s. The velocity is about 25fps slower though.

Maybe I’ll try one for size.

Loading the 375 for dangerous game I have more confidence in the magnum primer.
