Last minute charter flights Ketchikan AK

Curious if anyone has any recommendations for a float plane trip 40 miles to a private dock out of Ketchikan? I’ve never done this (charter flight stuff) but the boat option I had lined up might not be an option now, and I’m curious if I can find a flight. I have found the big aviation companies in Ketchikan, but have also heard there are lots of small companies but can’t find internet info on them.

Been fishing up that way a lot

Talk to the fishing lodges in general vicinity where you are intending to go, and they can give you the names/options of who flies into that general vicinity. Some fishing lodges even post that info on their website, so that should help ya out.

Do they run water taxis out of
Ketchikan? Like where you are wanting to go, is it off the marine hwy route? Or on it?

Well, I found a seat on an already scheduled flight on a beaver, to an area close enough to my final destination. On these types of flights, do you tip the pilot?
I know you would on a custom charter flight into a destination that you pick, and also we don't tip on small short flights from airports, but not sure what's customary on these types of flights?
