Large elk droppings?

Wondering who has seen elk droppings piles that’s re this large? I have only found piles this large in one area I hunt. I have a size 12 boot for reference

Seen the same in Idaho years ago. There were prob 30 piles like that in a 3 acre area. Fresh as well. Never laid eyes on the herd.

Probably someone hunting with llamas. They use the same area over and over and it piles up.

Moose most likely.

I see piles like that pretty frequently and have never seen moose in the area. But look at the size of this mushroom next my size 13 boot.

Called in a rag horn one time and he stood about 50 yds from us for maybe 5 minutes before he casually walked away. He left a pile of steaming hot, green poop about that big.

Defintely elk. I am reminded of a time a buddy of mine who stands 5’8”, weighing in at 140lbs, clogged a public toilet with a log the size of a Pringle’s can. That is to say, all critters, even us, sometimes have big poops or really small poops.
