That’s exactly what I did as well. I still keep the lapua for my 233 match gun but my high pressure hunting loads I use the Starline.I have 200pc of Lapua and couldn't find it anywhere last year. Ended up buying 1k starline so I'm all in on that. It's been treating me well and I don't get so frustrated if I lose one.
Starline 556 is a decent substitute.
What’s the story here ?So long it doesn't do this the first firing. All 500 pieces.
What’s the story here ?
Was it the 223 headstamped or 556 ?Bought 500 cases. Loaded a few test batches for 3 rifles. All 3 rifles had about 50/50 show the separation. All test loads well under published max data for Hornady load manual.
What did Starline say about it?Bought 500 cases. Loaded a few test batches for 3 rifles. All 3 rifles had about 50/50 show the separation. All test loads well under published max data for Hornady load manual.
What did Starline say about it?
24.6 is warm but it’s not excessive. To be clear. The 1k pieces of starline I'm running are .223 rem and not 5.56mm. I don't think I'm running too hot but it's not a light load either. 24.6gr of varget with 75 BTHPs for my practice loads. I only have 3 reloads on some for testing but not a single problem yet.
Either way, great news on the lapua stuff coming in.
