I was curious to see if the kuiu attack pants and guide jacket are quiet. I have been looking at some other brands and i was supprised how noisey they are. Any input would be great. Thanks for your help.

The attacks are very quiet, my favorite hunting pants by far. The guide jacket it a little noisier, but still not too bad.

I second that. I sold my Guide for bowhunting and use a Sitka Stratus or Jetstream. Kenai is quietest of all but not windstopper.

I am also looking at the Chinook jacket. I am not sure how quiet that is either. My camo is getting wore out and i am looking for something else different. I am kind of old school and am not up to date with any of the new stuff. Sitka is out of my budget but I was kind of looking at the Kuiu. Thanks.

Unless you need the rain resistance aspect of a soft shell just wear a good fleece on top, those are plenty quite and some have wind block properties.

The attack pants are my favorite for the right temp band which is most of my hunting (70s and down), I have the correct body type for them and they are comfortable, durable for the terrain I hunt (mountains and not thorny vines), quite, vent via the legs (seriously more manufacturers need to get on board with this feature), dry well.

Looking at a Kuiu top layer, I'd go with the Peloton 240 Full Zip Hoodie. It has a lot of versatility from early season - late season. This hoodie, a rain top, and a puffy will get you through almost anything. The hoodie is also the quietest by far out of the three jackets (Peloton, Guide, and Chinook).

my attack pants are quiet.

oddly enough, my camo version are softer..my solids feel heavier and are more rigid. i can feel the comfort difference.

i might have killed my camo ones..i took a break from deer and bushwacked for quail. they are pulling fabric from everywhere. my fault..

For non rain shells from kuiu I’ve owned the Teton insulated, kenai, guide, chinook. The teton was simply the most versatile, lightest, packable of what I owned. Not saying it’s a do all jacket as there is no such thing from a brand based on layering. The others I mentioned were good too I just like clothes that I can use all or most of the time.

My attack pants provide plenty of quietness factor and one pair is almost see through from wear. A great all around pant until it pours. Also as noted the peloton is a great piece to have for comfort and warmth and is very soft and quiet.

So, I have yet to try a pair of attacks...what am I missing? It seems that even kuiu haters concede that these are great pants.

What features do they have besides hip vents and are quiet?

Sell me on them!

The original solid colors (grey and brown) work for hunting, hiking, casual office, steakhouse, church, funeral. Four secured pockets might be overkill but it’s versatile for lefties when a lot of pants aren’t symmetrical or only have one cargo. Like said they’re quiet, wide temperature range, stretch. 34” inseam is easy to hem or can be let out a bit more. Tactical but not tacti-cool. I can’t say they’re perfect because they are a little of a low rise cut and all pockets could be bigger. Oh and come in incremental waist sizes.
