KUIU INVESTOR

I'm thinking you're right. Of course a week after I order all the stuff to perfect my clothing system, after 3 years, they sell out

Just put a sticker on them like the Tesla nerds are doing
“Bought before they were bought out”

Can I still finish buying my collection of their excellent whitetail gear in their equally excellent Valo pattern before boycotting?

I should burn my Kuiu stuff. Doesn't fit anymore (unrelated to me getting fatter). I'm glad that my RS access is through Xfinity and not Cox Communications or Charter - I'd have to stop surfing the internet. (I am sure there is plenty wrong with Xfinity.)

What little I've read about the Ruby River case isn't good. But there are other reports of Jim Kennedy and the family creating large conservation easements and donating funds to preserve wetlands and waterfowl hunting. Do those offset each other? That's a judgment call for each to make.

But we are all selective in when we are upset about our consumer goods. I'm not a fan of what goes into mining the rare earth minerals (both for the environment, and the people doing the mining), or some of the employee practices in China and other countries. But I'm using a Mac and talk on an iPhone. So I'm admittedly a hypocrite.

PE investment in the hunting apparel space is a matter of when, not if, given our demographics' propensity to spend big bucks on the latest and lightest. I will say, my brother helped negotiate the Meateater/FirstLite PE deal years ago and I got a shot at a huge discount on gear at the time. The two jackets and three pairs of pants I bought then look as good as new 5+ years later. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for some of the newer FL stuff I've bought

Maybe it's splitting hairs, but Cox Enterprises isn't technically PE. It's more analogous to EBSCO Industries (which owns lots of other fishing and some hunting brands) - except I believe Cox is much larger.
