Kuiu.... hmmmm

It may be very difficult or next to impossible to purchase only goods that align with your political interests. However, the attitude of "who gives a shit" is why this country is where it is at now. I may not be able to make every purchase based on who I support and who I do not. However, when I can, I will.

Kuiu is a luxury hunting clothing line. You can kill just as easily in a pair of jeans and a wool sweater. Are the jeans and wool sweater solely sourced and made in the USA...probably not. However, I will do the best I can to not to support a company by spending money on their products when I feel it is in direct conflict to restricting my freedom to do some of the few things I enjoy in life....hunting and fishing.

Yep. Never owned one piece of Kuiu and never will.
There you go Mr. Sitka 😉

"W.L. Gore & Associates faces major controversies, primarily around PFAS "forever chemicals" in its Gore-Tex products, leading to lawsuits in Maryland for polluting drinking water with these persistent toxins, accusations of greenwashing by misleading consumers about product safety, and earlier issues with anti-competitive distribution practices in South Korea, highlighting environmental and ethical concerns."

Let’s not miss the big picture here, we all need to fight for public lands and the access to them. This isn’t exactly about what conglomerate owns what, it’s about the people who think they can take it from us!

Some genius on this thread is going to declare "That's it. I'm done with Kuiu!" and sell all their stuff in the classifieds.

I am not sure exactly how that will do a single bit of good if their "ethics" or "moral compass" do not align with the new owners of the Kuiu brand.

You spent the money already. Stop using your moral high horse to make an excuse to buy more stuff from another brand, brainiac.

If you decide to not make additional purchases from Kuiu, that is another matter - where your action may make a difference, however small and unlikely. But selling off stuff you already own? Foolishness.

SMH.

Kuiu stuff is mediocre in my experience. So I already don't give them my money. But, now I want to float a stretch of river in MT.

For the folks that say Kuiu is of lesser quality or mediocre, what brands/products do you find to be better?

I could see folks not only wanting to cease purchasing, but also wearing a brands products. Wearing a highly recognizable product is often advertising, free advertising for most.
Folks tend to buy what they see others using.
