Just received an email from Kuiu about Pro and Pro LT packs in their outlet. That usually means the product is discontinued. Anyone heard if they are coming out with a new pack or just getting out of the load hauling pack?

All new pack system.
However the investment company that bought them has changed the company policies. No more free shipping on anything. And when you message them you get AI response.

Did not know they were bought out. Don’t use their packs but hope they don’t destroy the clothing line.

You can’t haul meat with a kuiu right?
As in there is no provision like EXO, MR, Kifaru to strap it to the frame?

You can definitely haul meat. The pack pulls away from the frame, similar to the Kifaru, Exo, etc. There are varying opinions on the efficiency and functionality of their set up, but it will haul meat. I had one for years and really liked it.

Didn't know you couldn't haul meat unless it was strapped to the frame.
I prefer to put the meat directly in the bag. Use a construction plastic bag for a backpack liner and in goes meat filled game bags. I found it more comfortable to carry it this way. Only use meat shelves when necessary

Yeah obviously you can. Guess my question should have been, does the bag separate from the frame like the other brands.
Yes, pretty much the same as any pack with that feature. I have a rectangular game bag that fits the space perfectly and also have two tall narrow bags that also fit that space perfectly when put in side by side.

Today, I took my daughter to the Kuiu store in Dallas. All the frame packs were on sale as were the bags. The sales guy confirmed they had a new pack coming.

Because of the sale, I tried to get my daughter fitted for a frame, harness, and bag.

Compared to my K4 3600, their entire system seemed smaller with lighter weight strapping, less padding in the shoulders. Even with the help of the salesman, we couldn't get it set up so my daughter could carry 35 pounds.

Not every pack will be a fit for everyone.
