Kuiu cold weather gloves layer options

Anyone have experience with the line.

I don’t have Raynaud syndrome but my hand run cold.

Looking to be comfortable all the way down to 15-20F.

The insulation in the Northstar Glomitt sound good Primaloft Gold 340g back - 170g palm
But I would prefer a smaller cuff.

The Cuff on the Northstar Glove version look smaller but I guess it should be similarly big.
Primaloft 285g, 115g.

The Expedition glove look more of what I’m looking for but I’m afraid it won’t be as warm, it also seem it would be more effort to put on due to the fitted Neoprene cuff. Primaloft 230g back, 115g palm.

Would the Expedition glove and Axis glove be a good combo or it would be a tight fit, bulky uncomfortable?

I think the Kenai glove look to puffy to be used as liners but because they are build with Stunner stretch would they work as liners with the Expedition gloves?

The other liners the Merino 210 and Strongfleece 220 look thin.

Or don’t risk it and get the Northstart Glomitt with Kenai glove if it fit or Axis glove?

Wasn’t a fan of the axis glove as a stand alone, hands couldn’t breathe while hiking causing the sweat to make them colder. In a static situation they are a stiffer material therefore not comfortable as a liner. Also have the strong fleece 220(?) they are a good liner or light stand alone glove.

I have the expedition glove - can't say I'm impressed with ergonomics and doubt you can layer with that fit.

That what I also thought due to the cuff being so slim.

I would not thought they get stiff as they look soft form fitting.

Now I’m not sure if the Kenai would fit under the Northstar Glomitt as they look way puffier than the Axis but might be even softer.
Or get one of the real liners like the strongfleece 220 or merino 210.

Do you know which one is warmer the strongfleece or merino.

I guess I get the Kenai and see how they feel under the Glomitt and also one of the other liners and return one of them

The axis material is like a thin soft shell, the sf is just a fleece. They would take up the same volume but the resistance from the axis material drove me nuts under my mitts.

Kenai gloves are more like a puffy glove than a liner, three times the volume of a liner glove. The northstar was like kuiu’s version of a ski glove or a kenai glove with a more robust outer shell.

Liner gloves and an insulated mit are my go to for cold glassing. A good ski glove for being active in cold conditions or camp chores when some dexterity is needed.

I've been recommended the Showa 282-02 fishing glove (for working offshore) but have not tried it myself (yet).

I double checked with merino liners. Sure, I can get the hand in, but fit/feel is tight and not something I'd want to wear.

I have both northstars and love them. The cuff on the glove is looser but your jacket sleeve butts right in there. So no cold gap. I have a merino with thumbhole sleeves so that slides in the glove too. I just took gloves off to type this.

Good for your temps although I have hot hand in each glove, but I’m doing nothing but sitting in blind all day.

Glommit has long cuff so it really covers your sleeve end. I don’t wear a liner mine are too tight for that, but also good with a hot hand.

17 at truck this morning high of 31, 15-20 wind is my conditions today and wearing northstars. Was same yesterday

I think I would get the merino and see they might be warmer than the Strongfleece by 1-2%

I think the Kenai might fit under the Glomitt due to the 3 big finger design.

Most likely won’t work with the North Glove.

I’m trying to hold on for real Mitts as my last resort, definitely prefer 3 or 5 fingers.

They do look good size wise, the cuff look snug.
Jethro mention the cuff on the Nort glove are loose but smaller than the Glomitt so I might give those a try.

If the North Glove version has a looser cuff but not super big like the Glomitt I would give them a try.
Would get the XL and XXL and see which one I keep. I just wished they had a bit more insulation on the palm.
But is my understanding that Primaloft Gold is better than Thinsulate that other gloves use.
I bet the Kenai glove won’t fit and the liner merino look thin but let see how low I can go before having to use hand warmers.
