I'm slightly considering. I piece-mealed a marsupial belt and various attachments, and then have been using my Seek Outside Merlin. I've had a vest in the past, but adding the puppy changed my priorities to mostly stuff for her. I also felt they were muggy.

Added a pink hat pic...

The carbon stay and how they have the backpack/water thing away from the body probably solves the muggy complaint.

The KUIU waist belt and stay are more structured and backpack-like than the Final Rise, but the FR has a much better lumbar pad on the back. It was very easy to load the bird basket. Shoulder straps are very close in thickness. The velcro is easily pretty strong and the pockets have more rigidity on the top, being much more structured than the FR.

I don't know how I feel about the bladder being on the very back. The waist belt was all the way sinched on my 30-inch waist, but felt comfortable carrying 15 pounds. I think I like the Final Rise a little better. The Phone holder held my iPhone 13, but was hard to back out. I jumped and ran with the phone staying put.

Pros:
-Phone holder
-Felt great
-Carries weight well

Cons:
-30 Inch Wasit on S/M
-Doesn't fit 12 gauge boxes, but fits 28 gauge box very tightly

I chuckled about the box of shells too! Looks like the vest holds 6 per each pocket in shell loops. I usually fill up the pocket loops (dozen) on the old Cabela’s strap vest, then load the gun and call it enough for upland hunting. But if dove hunting I could see having more.

Ordered KUIU bird vest this week. Looks like a good design. Time will tell!

Why has no one given up country of manufacture? I’m pretty sure I know the answer but want someone that has the vest to let us know.

It wasn’t a quantity thing. I routinely take a whole box every time I go chukar hunting. But, I don’t use shell loops and just dump them in the pocket loose.

This will likely be popular since Kuiu is such a well known name and they beat the other big names by 50-100 bucks.

In the video "there wasn't a lot of innovation going on" makes me cringe a bit as their vest looks basically like every other vest that's come out in the last couple years. Attention is in the details though. Non padded shoulder straps and big pockets are what the people what.

(old man sarcastically screams at the sky) I just wish they could make their logo much larger and put the word "Kuiu" in 20 more places.

Agree kpk - "wasn't a lot of innovation going on". very cringy.

Still, I love Kuiu gear and the price is right. Might have to get one.
