Kuiu Alpine or Chinook pant for early to mid season

For those of you who have used these pants I would like your opinion.

I have an older pair of Sitka ascents that are wearing out. I could get one more season.
I also have a pair of Kuiu attack pants that are a bit on the heavy and hot side for early archery.

Here are my options I can buy a new pair of ascents.
I would like your thoughts on the alpine and Chinook pants. Specifically are the Chinooks too warm for early season.
The alpine look light but I notice that they do not list a DWR layer on them. My Sitka ascents do get wet but dry quickly.
If it gets cold I have a merino layer for under all of these.

If you wanted one pant for early to mid season which is better the Chinook or alpine.

Chinook have the laminated fleece on the inside so are warmer than Attacks. If you consider Attacks a bit heavy the Alpines are close just different features. Have you considered Tiburons? Basically a lightweight Attack. I wore them Sept elk along with Attacks.

if you think the attack are on the heavy side you won't like the CHinook pants for the same reason. they are heavier than the attacks but a lot lighter than the guide pants. the Alpine's are nice but really thin and light great for early season. Only problem i have with the Alpines is they are not water resistant! Attack are my do it all pant throughout archery. once the temps start to get a little bit cooler consistantly i switch over to the CHinnook's.

The Chinooks are too warm for early season. I wore them in September this year and even with the hip vents it was swamp ass all day everyday. I now have the Alpines and they are WAY cooler, especially without the fleece backing, and DWR finish. They will be my September high country pants this year.

If you think the Attacks are hot you don't want the Chinooks. I personally think the Attacks are great early season here in the desert South West. That said I got the Alpines for a lighter pant and like them more for August and near 100 deg. days.

I enjoy my Chinook pants. Great DWR quality and the leg vents are awesome. That being said my legs were still warm on this hike with the Chinook.
