Kuiu Tiburon vs Kuiu katana pant for early season?

Like 'em both but the fit is way different as is the temperature range. More leg room in the Tibron....the Kutana is a slim fit. For warm/hot weather the Tibron is significantly better for me to hike in (don't hunt that often in super hot weather. Kutana does not vent heat out near as well for me as the Tibron, but still like them for the not quite as hot days. I don't have very much room to layer under the Kutana.

That said, since most of my hunting is done in the cold or at least cool, (but not blazing hot) weather so I wear Attack pants primarily. And the Attack fit is in between the snug Kutana and loose fitting Tibron.

I have both. I wear the tibs way more. The kutana stretch way to much and start getting really baggy after an hour of walking. So not my fav. The tibs have been durable for me. And I have been through some crap with them. Did a barb hunt at 80 degs in the cactus filled desert and they held up the same as any other pant in that crap. If its gonna be super hot....tibs all day.

A non hunting brand pant I wear alot too is the Kuhl Renegade recon super good in warm weather and durable. Elastic waist is nice too

I wonder if Kuiu is using different material for the Kutana. My pair of Kutana's have very little stretch and it's my biggest complaint (besides the sizing variation and slim fit).

As for Kuhl pants, I have a pair of the Renegades, but they never get worn because their Radikl pants are SO much better IMO. It's Radikl's everyday for me. Whether it's office/casual wear or outdoor wear, they're the best pants I've found.

I have two or three of each: Tiburons, Kutana and Attacks. I only wear the attacks when it is cold or I am not moving (still needs to be cool).

My Tiburons wore through quickly where the fabric covers the zipper slide on the rear pockets and on the thigh pockets. Holes right through to the slide. That said, they are cool and they are quiet. But mine are not pretty anymore, though they have a lot of life left in them. If they put some kind of reinforcement over those wear points I'd like 'em a lot more.

The Kutanas are now my go-to for hot-weather Pronghorn spot-and-stalk archery hunting. Tough enough, cool enough even in the upper 90's. Attacks for Pheasant down to about 15 degrees (then I add a thin base layer).

I have several pairs of the Kutanas. My favorite all-around hunting pants from early to mid-season. Not only are they light weight but man they're Durable. I think the Tiburons are a one-dimensional warm-hot weather pant and not nearly as bomb-proof as the Kutanas. For my $ the Kutanas offer a better value.

I use Kutana's for everything, and I have had them all. I layer under if needed for cold, and they are the limit I've reached for a combo of hot weather and durability, as well as brush and insect protection. Tiburons would feel nice hog hunting in 80* at midnight here, but mosquitos would treat my legs as if nothing was on them lol.

Kutanas are my favorite pants and Tiburons are the best hot weather pants on the market. Depends on what you value most, a little warmer but super durable or cooler but get some wear and tear.

I typically wear the Tiburons on early August desert hunts, antelope and mule deer (90+ degrees). Anything less and I am in the Kutanas.

I keep thinking I’m going to buy some Tiburon’s but I change my mind everytime they are in my cart. I just stick to Attack pants. My first pair were used on my son’s antelope hunt in early August New Mexico. I was never hot and we did a lot of walking. I get cold easily though especially in the morning. If I do get warm then I just unzip the vents and I’m fine.

Tiburon are by far the best hot weather pant. Plenty durable and if it’s cold in the morning I have zip off Outdoor Vital knicker thermals or puffy pants. So often it’s 30 in the morning and 80 mid day, this combo is the sweet spot for me. I run hot

This is based upon my personal experience and actually wearing these pants north of 110* F even during monsoon season. There is a point where all pants suck which leaves you to decide what actually matters.

Tiburon: Buy them if you want light and airy but are 100% ok with anything with a point going right them (including mosquitos) and are ok with material sporting the Velcro look.

Wrangler Outdoors: Buy them if you want a pant that works well in the heat, keeps the mosquitos out, and will sport the Velcro look all for about 1/6 the price of Tiburons.

Kutana: Buy them if you want a pant that works well in the heat, keeps the mosquitos out, is significantly more durable than the Tibruon, and works well for other seasons for about 13% more than the Tiburon.

I have both pants and multiple pairs of each.

Tiburons are definitely lighter and more comfortable for me. However they aren’t as durable.

If you can deliver with the less durability, I’d go with the Tiburons just on the comfort factor alone. Especially in mid august heat
