So I can get a decent discount on kryptek stuff due to a warranty issue. I've been on the fence about the Cadog set. I'm wanting a warm set for going to Pa for deer season with my dad. How warm is this set. Actually I'm concerned it may be to warm because I have plenty of layers and I just don't want to end up with clothes I won't use.

I don't have the jacket but the pants are plenty warm if your not just sitting but if you'll be in a tree stand I would look more at the Ageis set.

I tend to sit and move throughout the day. I like to layer as well so I can shed as need be.

If in the teens you should be ok. I use my Vidar vest with layers and then if really cold my puffy. This combination with the Cadog pants works really well for me and I didn't get cold when I was just sitting and glassing. I don't get cold real easy though. I think it will work for you, just keep a puffy for when you sit for long periods.

Jared Bloomgren wrote a cold weather article on the Kryptek system that is on the home page, worth the read.

Im a treestand hunter in the midwest, and I have a set of the Cadog pants. With a pair of heavyweight Minus 33 merino wool pants, I can sit for a few hours in about 25 degrees no problem.
