Kowa 88 Vs stx 85

Anyone have real world experience ?

Already run a Kowa 554 for small scope.


Run EL binos and Meopta binos.

The Kowa 88 series is the same glass as the 55 series, just wider FOV and much brighter with a nicer eyepiece that's easier to get behind

I have owned both the ATX 85 and the Kowa 88 with the 25-60 eyepiece. To my eyes I slightly favor the Kowa in optical performance and I prefer the kowa's focusing mechanism over the swaro. The one downfall with the kowa is the cold metal housing unless you wrap it or cover it. The kowa's magnification extener is also much lighter than swarovski's extender.
