Kowa 880 series vs new 88 series

Are the updates only ergonomic/cosmetic or are there glass updates too? I am looking to move from an ATX to a Kowa 88 and I see the 880 line is on sale for 2500 with the 11WZ eyepiece as a package, 1k less than the new model as a package. If it’s only cosmetic it’s a no brainer. Haven’t seen much comparing them side by side. Anyone?

I was under the assumption there was “minor” updates to the coatings but I can’t remember where I seen that. I’m just here waiting on rumors of a Kowa 66 with Flourite
