Kimber 8400 325 WSM to 300 Win mag

Can anyone tell me if the 8400 stocks are the same?
I have the chance to buy a Kimber Montana 8400 stock that came off of a 325 WSM, and want to put it on my subalpine 300 Win mag. They're both the magnum actions, but wasn't sure of stock compatability.

If the 8400 is a true short action receiver, the stock won't fit. Some companies, like Tikka, don't make any short action receivers. No clue about Kimber.

Alrighty, thank you...I knew there were differences between the 84m, 84L- but couldn't find any info on the 8400....I just knew it was their magnum receiver.

Correct, the 8400 WSM stock will not work with an 8400 Win Mag. The WSM stock is for their 3.0" action and the Win Mag stock is long action.
