I already own a pair of Uncompaghre puffy pants but am debating on purchasing the Kifaru pants. Just wondering if the Kifaru pants are more durable or overall warmer?

The Kifaru pants have held up better for me. I have several rips in my FL pants. They don't' seem to take rocks very well.

Is that just for the puffy pants or have you had other experiences with durability on other FL pants like the obsidian?

Just talking Puffy pants.

If you want super durable hunting pants from FL, get the guide pants

I really like the guide pants and the obsidian pants but haven’t worn the puffy pants all that much to speak to their durability. The obsidian and the guide pants have held up well in some briars and thorns and such without tearing or anything.

The Kifaru puffy pants are crazy warm. I did have to size up, but there was no middle ground. The large was too tight and the XL is Stay Puff Marshmallow Man huge. The First Lite's were not very durable for me in the knees. Went back to the Mountain Hardwear compressor pants. Not as warm, 80g v 100g (First Lite) and no camo. However, the MH's have pockets and reinforced knees. If First Lite starts reinforcing the knees, I'll go back to them.

Do not have the kifaru but do have comphagre and I view them as a mid layer pant under a bib for sitting or an outer layer for stopping for a rest when packing weight. I do not think they are durable enough for me to use them for an outer. One way I may work around that is to wear a level 7 shell pant over them......

If you want pants for sitting and glassing the FL pants are great. That said, they aren't designed to do the ame things as the kifaru pants. I'm out on warmth as I haven't used the kifarus
