Hey guys, I run the XTL lid on my nomad and its ok. I used the longhunter for a while but did not like the way it fit. It seemed to flop all around and fit loose on my NOMAD.

I like the XTL lid better, but it seems for the weight, i could get a lot more CI with the Guide lid and be able to run it on its own.

How does the guide lid compare to the LH lid? More copact, better fit, floppy etc?

Anyone that could post a pic of it on a nomad would be great.

Joe

The guide lid looked like it would be way floppy to me at first. After using it for a month, I love it. Even when my Rambler is empty it stays pretty dang tight.

Im interested in the lid differences as well as im getting ready to order a new Kifaru bag and frame..would love to see pics if anyone has them for review..

Guide lid is a better fit and easier to get into while on the pack. Not to mention being very useful as a stand-alone pack. Do it ;)

Thanks guys. I am hoping to find something that will hold my g7, kestrel, bipod, bipod buddy, drops charts etc all in one place that I could drop the pack and have the lid with me. It wont fit in the XTL

Thanks

Joe

I have the guide on a nomad. It is very tight, even when the nomad is empty. I also put an organizer on the lid using the lock and load tabs. Looks like it was stitched in there and gives me a way to organize my drop charts and such.
