I have talked over email to one of the reps and I can't say my particular experience with kifaru customer service compared to other brands is as nice or helpful.. I've been waiting for the amr to come out in 1000d..and it finally did but lids are not ready so why should I have to pay shipping again in a week just to get the lid..I'm spending 700$ on a backpack..I also asked about having a tactical frame made out of od green..I even called kifaru..they acted like it was impossible.. I have seen amr with frame in photos with od green so it has been done before..od bag on coyote brown looks like ass, and black gets hot, and Grey+OD..../: anyways I am a little dissapointed in that color of frames is standard for a $700 system. I do agree the product functional wise is the best out there bar none..got money in hand but unsure @ this point.
How about you call me tomorrow or Tuesday and we get things figured out.

To each their own, but whatever you do, do not talk bad about Kifaru on Rokslide! Kifaru Kowboys ride strong. I own quite a bit of Kifaru, and Aron set me up unbelievably well, but I do not get all the bashing on a guy wanting a different color frame.

I don't think it's bashing, I think people are just being real.. They only make 3 color frames. If you cannot deal with any of the colors then don't buy it, or find a Gen 2 in the classifieds.

Just getting caught up on everything this morning, but I'm thinking I know who you are, as I'm the person you've been contacting at Kifaru (again, I think). Anyway, I basically had Kifaru build all of the items you asked for (a customer I've never met before) just to keep you happy. I will say that we had planned on building some of our gear in OD anyway, but you were definitely asking for OD the most.....especially the AMR.

I'm in the field a lot, so I do apologize that I only responded too your emails every few days, but you did get the same responses each time "everything is in the works and I will set all of it aside for you when all is completed".

Hopefully you can give me a call for a more in depth discussion on your issues, but I/we have built everything you'd asked for and some of it was built just for you (the AMR for example).

If I don't hear from you, good luck this season.

Can't get better customer service than that.

^^^Yet another testimonial to Aron's (and Kifaru's) stellar customer service and willingness to go the extra mile for their customers....and even someone less than understanding/appreciative from the get go.

*I'm however not that awesome and would've told the guy to eat a bowl of D!<ks while enjoying somebody else's gear.

^^^^^^^^^And that's why I'm much happier buying a used bag from mrbillbrown rather than getting restaurant recommendations from him.

I hate to admit it but I like kifaru a little more every day. Every time I put my pack on or see a comment from Aron I wish I could afford to buy new from them so they could make some money off me. I guess if there wasn't a market for used packs then guys wouldn't be able to upgrade so often so maybe I'm doing my part. And at least I don't bother them for months trying to get them to make a pack the right color to match my purse. I'm certainly going to keep putting dead animals in my 500d pack. My bet is that by the time it's worn out my son will be big enough to carry all my shit for me.

Thank you very much, I ordered mine along with guide lid and small pouch. Hopefully OD will make a comeback at least for the military/tactical line of products
