Heck, I'm running a foliage dt1, because it was on sale, with a black frame and wolf grey belt/shoulder straps. I think it looks great.

Foliage, wolf gray, black and even some coyote brown here.

Whatever makes you happy. It's your pack. I just don't understand strict adherence to a color scheme or matching fabrics. It's not important to me. But I mismatch my camo patterns too.

So you've been mulling over getting a kifaru for over a month and have jumped around a fair bit about which one and now just complain because their offerings don't fit your exact criteria and are crying about the cost? Interesting. Perhaps a badlands would be more suited for you. Kifaru will bend over backwards to help you but their business model limits what they can do.

I'm willing to bet they are making that AMR in 1000d for you specifically actually.

With the talks I've had with Aron he has every confidence in 500d for any and all hunting applications.

I bet that bag comes in over a pound heavier for really zero practical gain, and I bet at least one person at kifaru has told you that. But knowing Aron and Kifaru they will do anything to make a customer happy and made a limited run of 1000d's. You will be the only guy to buy it, or maybe not, then kifaru is stuck with a bunch of packs nobody wants.

Don't let some less than personable employee or a few over invested pack owners sway your pack buying decision. If your anything like most of us you have been eyeing a pack for a quite some time, and had to make some sacrifices to come up with $700 for a few yards of fabric and some thread. I get fairly impatient after I finally get the money to buy the thing I've been looking forward to owning for so long. I look forward to more color options in the future as I am a highlander fan. I hope you still buy the pack. I truly believe that you will be more than pleased with your purchase.

On a more serious note, once you get the pack on your back, that will determine whether you like it or not..
I will over research the hell out of something ( doing your due diligence,.is the polite way one of the guys at my favorite gun shop once put it..), and once I know what I want, deep down at heart I want it now, right now.
Flip side of that is by necessity I have become a patient man, willing to wait quite a while to get what I want.
Like the saying goes, it ain't a bargain if you don't want it. And in the grand scheme of things, what is a week?

OD. And there are 4 left.

The weight difference for the 22 mag in 500d vs 1000d is a 1/2 pound.

w0w that would have been sweet. I did ask them about that exact combination a couple months back, but no one followed up with me on these possibilities. Oh well, I'm happy with my CB. In another life perhaps..

Lmao, I knew I'd get slack..this is the headquarters for kifaru gear junkies..there seems to be a lot of people who do not care about color/camouflage..to each their own..why not just let kifaru pick the color for u and not have the option of choosing..

Just wondering how you get from Kifaru doesn't make the color combinations you want and the lids aren't ready yet to "just let Kifaru pick the color for u and and not have the option of choosing.." ?

It easily could be that way, it's your money spend it where you want. If Kifaru doesn't offer that move on.

Or you could order a color that they produce.

I bought off the classifieds. So, I guess you can say that someone else did pick my colors for me.

I'm not busting on you. Go with whatever system and color you like. It's your pack. I was just saying that I don't share that level of concern about color coordination. It's alien to me.

Have a great hunt!

To each their own, but whatever you do, do not talk bad about Kifaru on Rokslide! Kifaru Kowboys ride strong. I own quite a bit of Kifaru, and Aron set me up unbelievably well, but I do not get all the bashing on a guy wanting a different color frame.
