Kifaru belt pull issue

This is the exact mindset that will have people sending it back when they don't actually have the problem. Since you obviously do have the problem I would ask Frank if you could do both. Send your old one back for repair and get a discounted price on a new one and ship them both at the same time. The problems that this solves should not exist if your belt is properly sized and had the common loops sewn tight enough (as mine apparently were since I have no twisting issue).



If you are also having this problem then your belt is most likely too small as well, which may have caused the stitches to loosen if you had to pull to hard to crank it down. When ordering a new one, you should also talk to Frank about going a half size up.

When I order the new one I'm gonna see if they can make it an in between size.

I'm not gonna haggle over it, but just pay for it and sell the other.

A week or two ago when word started spreading of the new belt I was told by Frank to watch their facebook page for updates. You know word will get posted here too. He told me the reason some new belts have it and some don't is because the new fasteners are currently only available in limited colors and limited stock in those colors. It will take several weeks at best to get the new fasteners.

I received my pack the day before news of the new belt. I was bummed because right away I reconized how much I prefer the Kuiu belt. The Kifaru is working properly, I just like the new Kuiu like design better. I will buy the newly desiged belt as soon as available and keep the current as a spare or maybe sell it. No big deal.

I got an updated duplex belt with the 2" ladderlocks and the tightening of the new belt is much smoother.

I got mine yesterday and it's a night and day difference. Pretty much a copy of a Kuiu but with wider webbing. With one hand I can tighten it tighter than I can stand.

Now to send my old one back for repair.

Some like to constantly blame the belt pull issue on improper belt size. The truth is the single power pull is far from good. If it worked good for you considered yourself lucky. For a while Kifaru doubled up the power pull loops and the belt worked very good. Why they went away from It is beyond me? HOWEVER, this new power pull buckle is ABSOLUTELY SUPERIOR and addresses every single issue!! The Kifaru belt is now PERFECT!
