Kifaru belt pouch question

Anyone switch from having two smalls on either side of the belt and go to mediums?
Just got my Kifaru a few weeks ago and after a few hikes I'm seriously thinking smalls just aren't working for me. Think mediums are the way to go, but not sure if I'll regret it.

I've read several threads on it, but just want to see what some more opinions are for those that swapped smalls for mediums.
I guess I like more stuff crammed in my hip pockets. With smalls, one pocket is essentially taken up by my Garmin 62ST. Not enough room for my taste, but don't want to have a huge floppy bag on my hip. From the pics, mediums don't look crazy big compared to the smalls.

I upgraded from small to a medium almost immediately and they aren't all floppy. I also almost immediately bought a nalgene bottle pocket and a mini belt pocket for the other side, hydrating from a nalgene is so much better than a bladder, especially at altitude. Me and my wife both thought it was a huge improvement using the nalgene bottles last season and that also makes it a lot easier to use supplements in your water like the mntops enduro etc, I still carried my bladder, but just used it to refill the nalgene. The better you start hydrated, the less altitude affects you too, not sure where you're hunting, that might not be a concern. The mini would handle your GPS too.

Mediums work great on the belt. You can even attach both sets of tri-glides to the PALS on the belt for zero flop if you want. Or just attach the top set.

I'll second the medium belt pouch on one side and nalgene/mini belt pouch on the other. It's a very versatile set up.

I can fit a Glock 22 with room to spare in a medium. It holds a lot.
I have a mini on its way to fit beside my water bottle holster.

Bit the bullet and bought a medium, a mini, and a nalgene pocket. Also bought two large belt pouches for the outside of my Rambler. Set now....I hope!

I've run both sizes but medium is about right for most things. medium can also double purpose as an improvised gun bearer base if you have an extra quick release strap to run off your shoulder strap. the rifle tends to slip out of the small but not the medium. i don't do that often but is nice to run when you do want it.

Any reason you guys like running a water bottle on hip vs a water bladder/hose?
Much more efficient to hydrate from and if you use supplements in your water, it's much easier to add and use with the bottle and then to clean out when done. If you use steripen to purify water, it goes right in the bottle. I still carry a bladder to refill the bottle but I'm going with a dromelite bladder versus camelbak this year. Did you ever try sucking on the bladder to get a good drink and you end up out of breath, that doesn't happen with the bottle. I would of never thought of it on my own but I see Aron and some of the other guy's from Kifaru running them and asked about it, then I tried it and it was a winning idea
