That was last month, we just drove home Saturday nightWas that last month or September of a previous year? I was under the impression that the silvers start running in September like clockwork?

Thats good to know. I think we're going to try to catch some silvers in the Kenai off the shore. That will allow us to use our fishing money for a halibut charter in Homer.Won't be much for beach fishing silvers in Homer in september...get on a charter call it a day call yesterday for a charter . Adfg normally opens the lagoon to snagging labor day weekend I think which clears out any silvers in the lagoon. There's an awesome place to eat on the spit, but not going to give up the spot because I dont want it to get blown up by a bunch of lurkers and sliders. Gotta go to know.

Thanks SonnyDay, I'll look into that. It sounds like it would probably be fun for everyone whether young or old.Chugach Adventures does a cool trip in partnership with the Alaska Railroad out of Portage. Ride the train for a bit, raft among icebergs at the foot of Spencer Glacier, and then raft down a river a few miles, and get back on the train for the ride back to Portage. Not sure how late in the season they run… but the train is cool, and so are the icebergs.
Have fun!
It is for sure an all age group adventure! Thanks SonnyDay, I'll look into that. It sounds like it would probably be fun for everyone whether young or old.
