I went up from the Valley to Fairbanks for the weekend. Smoke all the way up to Cantwell and it is seeping through the mountain pass. Never thought I would go to Fairbanks in the summer to get away from smoke. Saw in the paper the smoke traveled all the way down the Glenn Hwy and has reached Tok. So far we are doing better than I thought we would I fully expected to read of at least a couple more fires started over the weekend. Seeing the vegetation between going up the Parks the entire state could do well with about 2 weeks of rain.
