I wouldn't advise on putting your life in KelTec's hands, especially not the KSG. SBS a 590 if you're looking for a short 12ga to pack around, or do 870 tac14/590 shockwave.

I have handled and shot one.

I agree, I wouldn’t want it as a last line of defense. Function was a bit finicky. Unless you are very good, you would never get it switched over to that 2nd tube in a hurry. From what I gather, you probaly would need or get that many rounds in a Bruin encounter anyway.

I will say, it was simultaneously more compact and heavier than I thought. Low OAL and slim. It is almost 7 pounds unloaded. A pound more than a light 870.

I thought the FTSS switch would resolve that issue.
