Doesn’t hold zero with impacts. Last 36” drop was an 8.5 mil shift.

I knew I had seen a bad review about the LRP optically, and just saw it mentioned here which reminded me where I saw it. So not only are they not durable (per sample of 1), they also optically suck in their price range (per sample of 1).

To my eyes it(lrp) looked worse than the v4 across the mag range

We do need a retest with better rings.

I think the optics quality is average, I have trouble seeing the grey reticle on the Mil version. I don't have any trouble seeing the reticle in the MOA version. The Kahles and Minox glass are better to my eyes.

I’m surprised Leupold Mark 5HD performed better than Tangent Theta in these tests. I’ve owned a Mark 5HD before and it is clear glass but it doesn’t correct CA very well.

I have a 3-18 Mark 5 on my PRS gun. To be transparent I dont own the scope, it's just been loaned to be indefinitely until I replace it, likely with an SWFA haha.

I have also shot multiple Kahles up to 25x.

As someone with limited optics experience I can say that I was underwhelmed at the glass at full power at long range with both of them. I dont have anything to compare them too, but I was expecting much more clarity at 900-1000 for the price points of those optics. Especially since neither is great at holding zero. I suspect the leupold lost zero the last time I shot it. It was 1.5" left and .75 inches high, yet was dead on for months before.
