I've been using the "original" Grohmann DH Russell Canadian Belt Knife for 40 years. For around $100 I'll stick with the original over some $300 copy. But more power to anyone trying to make an honest living doing something they like...

FWIW I make my living as a cusom knife maker but that said I have total respect for Ruana knives. Love the family history there.

My Dad actually knew Vick Angus really well and I still remember stopping by their shop as a kid

Love these, My Dad had the skinner and hunter? made in the late 40's. Beautiful knives.My brother still uses them today.

I've got two I am working on right now. The sheaths are nice and they are very shiny. I do think they should be finely honed for the price; they won't shave and I don't think they would glide in the field like they should.

Not to sidetrack- but if I could get a G10 handle for two of my MKC paracord knives they would be perfect! Anyone know of anybody that could make some?
