Hmmmm. Not to get all politicy but he did authorize eagle claw. Pretty ballsy. The outcome was hardly his fault.

It is documented in a book written by a SS Agent that his Secret Service detail did not like him at all. He was arrogant, demeaning and aloof to people that worked at the White House. He orchestrated a lot of things to make himself look like a decent person in public but agents said it was often just bs and that it was all for show. He was also a big supporter of gun control. He was really disliked. I would have to see him in the woods with my own eyes, to believe he was a hunter but I was never a fan regardless.
