Very cool stuff guys!!! I had a Sumo with the TI and the fins flaked off on the first trip. My aluminum Jetboilette that I used for 3 solid years and well over 250 days in the field with it boiling meals and what not for both Becca and I has yet to lose any of its fins at all. For that reason I opted to go back to the Aluminum Sumo.
Snowcamoman,
That is one lightweight setup for sure. Looks like it should work well for you. My Aluminum Sumo with a lid and neoprene sleeve is just under 10 oz alone so quite a bit heavier than your 4.8 oz cup with lid and bottom protector. I'm actually upgrading to the larger 4 armed pot support for my SUMO to give it a bit more stability. I like the idea to be able to use the jetboil stoves if needed as well as protect the fins with the housing that comes on the bottom of the jetboil as it gives it more than enough protection in my experience with them. That certainly seem like a lightweight efficient little setup man! Congrats on the mod. I'm to the point now where function for my uses trumps weight savings for things and being able to boil 48 oz of water in less than 5 minutes all at the same time is what steered me toward the SUMO, but for your uses your little setup looks perfect.
