Of course not. That's why I switched to archery several years ago, can't stand hunting in the cold anymore. Waking up in a sleeping bag encased in ice was really getting old, and that was with a coal/wood burning stove in the tent.
Hunted yesterday and this afternoon....Its 4 degrees, -12 wind chill right now and that's the warmest it's been since last Wednesday.... All I accomplished was getting cold, and educating deer.
2 F, -15 WC on Friday just north of Cheyenne, looking for antelope. I call this picture "Hunting tauntaun on the Ice Planet Hoth". Got my third doe that afternoon. It was -6 F when we headed home.
I was out last weekend trying to fill a damage control hunt tag and I can tell you that 9 degrees is COLD! I already started making a list of new cold weather gear I want.
Last couple weeks of Cali bear left. Tuff when the berries freeze and the acorns get covered by snow... Easy to track em though. Got to 35 yards but couldn't get a shot off.
