Is there a 25 UM in the works?

The recoil difference between a 6 PRC and a 25 SST shooting the same velocity is noticeable. All the powder in a 7 PRC case would not be worth the squeeze to me over what the 6 UM does at the price of recoil.

I get to try my first 6UM as soon as the preorder barrels are done. Had a whole mess get ordered so far. I have the brass, powder, and 115 DTACS on standby.
I ordered one:)

The 25 cal is in that betweener spot that is still a “hunting caliber” and you can get speeds up in short barrel without punishing recoil.

It is for the ones who want a 6 UM/PRC but just can’t buy in completely to the small caliber fest.
This hits hard 😂 I have a 6 CM but I’m having a really hard time shooting an elk with it. BUT a 25 CM is 100% ok in my mind lol

Is this sarcasm? Victim to Spomer/EVB marketing? The 223 and 6mm terminal threads are pushing near 1k cases proving that sub 25 cal is plenty of bullet.

I do believe these cartidges are plenty capable. I shot a nice muley buck with my 6 CM this year. I am converting from a former big bore guy. When I said 'this hits hard' I meant his statement of people having a mental hurdle of using the 6 cm, but the 25 cm, a slightly larger step up in bullet weight is more appealing. That's how I view it...for whatever reason a 128 or 134 ELD bullet is 'better' than a 108. Even though they will perform nearly identically. Not an EVB fan, trust me. His statement was just funny to me, because that's exactly how my brain views it as well.

I can understand, slightly better SD, 0.014 more diameter, 0.025 g7 bc advantage. However equal psi/equal barrel length the 6 is gonna have 100-150 fps advantage, even more so the 22cm. They're all kind of the same mousetrap, and behave pretty similarly out to 600-700y. You really get no huge jump in performance until you go to a magnum case head parent cartridge for any of these bullets, and a magnum 22 cal is totally unnecessary.
