I noticed a few sets on e-bay and was wondering if it is legal to sell these?

Duhhhh, why didn't I think of that! I have one that was killed in 1977 that isn't plugged and was considering selling it so I will do just what you suggest. Thanks all!Instead of speculating, why not call an AK Wildlife Trooper to find out.

Why do people buy horns and mounts that they did not harvest?

There are a few pairs for sale from taxidermy businesses that have a lot of watchers on ebay.
There are a few pairs for sale from taxidermy businesses that have a lot of watchers on ebay.I think it would be cool to use a sheep horn for a door handle, and if I find one I'll probably do that, but I don't think I'll be destroying any of my sheep kills/mounts, in order to do it.
A matched set 35 or so usually brings $600 bucks or so. I go to the sale every year and have seen many sold. They are sought out and sell quick. Lots of carvers sell them even Tony Russ, his sell for some crazy prices.

Yup, and custom Pistol Grip Makers buy them as well. Last year I "sold/traded" a set of horns from a ram I shot and had a set of custom grips made for my custom 500 Linebaugh revolver.
