I can't comment on the working out a deal for a hunt, but I will say to reach out to as many people as you can, especially getting on outfitters cancellation lists. Cancellations and late notice hunts seem to becoming more prevalent the last few years. I think there is a correlation there with the number of hunts that organizations are able to pick up as a raffle/auction opportunity and the continued rising costs of hunts, especially sheep hunts. They can be had for less than full price even, you just have to be able to move quickly if they do. With that said, I picked up a hunt last week for the end of August from an outfitter friend of mine, just because I was reaching out about a hunt possibility in 2027.
