I shoot quite a bit of indoor spots and have noticed at my local club the spot and 3D weekly leagues have less attendance. 5 or 6 years ago a weekly Sunday Vegas or Five Spot league may have 20 plus shooters, this year 3-5 seems to be the norm.
I don’t think I notice a decrease in archery hunters though.
I get itchy when folks say education bad. Im a geologist in the engineering field.Local league use to be 2 nights because of the number of shooters. Now, it's hard to fill out a few teams.
Local 3d shoots would have 75-100 shooters every weekend, now, it's 20-25.
Seems to be everywhere. Personally, I think kids sports has gotten way more serious, takes more time. Gotta try to get the little ones a scholarship so they can get a fake degree.
I'm not one to talk, I waste a bunch of time on the sport of archery.

If i was king there would be no scholastic sports. Just STEM type stuff. We need more educated folks instead of importing them cause out folks are too flipping lazy to do the work.
10-4!My saying a worthless degree is in them being pushed through, needing to fly out in the evening to play tomorrow, etc.
I think a whole bunch of degrees aren't worthless, but the higher education system has become a money making game. Many are coming out with what you would say isn't value added.
I have some friends that got very good educations on scholarships, but it was a long time ago, unfortunately I think very few are getting much for their scholarships anymore.
10-4!
Folks are letting their kids down by pushing sports. Teamwork can be taught in other ways.
Sorry, it is a trigger. We do need plumbers electricians and such but we also need scientists drs etc. and garbage men too. Big balancing act for mankind.
You’ve got more brain cells than most! Im trying to find enough to get to retirement,I'm one of the lazy ones.
Got a mechanical engineering degree 20 years ago, went to work for myself and haven't looked back.
Didn't want to hafta think that hard, is what I told myself.
Doesn't seem as bad now that my body is wearing out, but don't think I can handle the environment.
High level sports cost more than you would be saving in a lot of scenarios.
Amazon / online suppliers and people doing their own bow work/ features on bows to tune without press… lots of factorsSeems like the shops around me are closing up and the weekend 3d shoots are disappearing. Is archery dying?
Causes?
Crossbow?
Generational changes?
Something else?
