With the Barnes, the 140 would be the "heavy" bullet for that caliber. The reason is that they are pure copper, so not as dense. Thus the bullets are longer relative to lead core bullets at an equivalent weight. Also, weight retention is VERY high (think 95% plus), so you don't have to worry about loss of mass. I shoot 150 grainers out of my 30-06, 85 grainers out of my .243, and 185 grainers out of my .333-06.

One of the biggest pluses with the Barnes in my experience is the negligible meat loss. No worries about lead fragments in the meat I'm eating either.
