I started using them but not for hunting yet. Durability is great, noise seems like an improvement and no need for a primer pen. I can't stand vanes that need special wipes and activators just to stick to an arrow

I'm gonna order another set they seem like a good combination of a Max Stealth and Blazer vane

What glue are you using for these if you don’t mind me asking?

I have struggled to tune my bow with Fixed Blades Broadheads for quite a while, shooting AAE Stealths and others like it. I could get a pretty good tune but just didn't have full, 100% confidence in it as I had a wandering point of impact. Then I tried this new vane by Iron Will. My tuning issues just vanished. FBBHs hit right with field points out to 35 yards. If I had a bigger backyard I feel sure they would do so at longer distances. Vane adhesion and durability no problem.

Did you try any other bands?

Yes.

Tried the Air Razr, TAC, and the short Super Sabres. Air Razr (as others have noted) had too much memory such that vanes that get deformed tend to remain that way. Tac gave pretty good performance overall, but I was concerned about vane noise. Short Super Sabres just didn't provide enough steering. Maybe I should have tried the long ones?

When I went to the Iron Will vane, my FBBHs just snapped into place alongside my field points. Just like that. Vane adhesion is good, they have proven durable without the memory problem noted with Air Razrs.

Important point: When I went to the Iron Will I also went to a three vane setup instead of four. I then had to rotate my nocks so that I my "cock" vane was vertical and my other two vanes were at 120 and 240 degrees respectively. This gave best clearance with my rest, which seems to be necessary due to a little taller vane on the Iron Wills vs these others.

I will add that I had btw 50 and 100 of these other vanes, and another maybe 200 Max Stealths lying around waiting for arrows. So I had a lot of motivation to NOT change vanes. Anyway, I ended up giving them away to a friend!

One more point: I had already achieved a pretty good tune using bare shafts out to 30 yards. Not perfect, but pretty good. My view is that you cannot expect any vane+FBBH setup to fix a 1) wrong arrow spine selection 2) bad bow hand grip 3) bad rest+cam setup.

At least the Iron Will logo is cooler looking than the Q2i logo, but I wish I could find vanes without a logo on them!

Been shooting fusions for years and I’m glad I still have some old stock left from before they started putting their ugly silver logo on them..

These new IWs might do the trick when I need new vanes.. is the yellow a fluorescent yellow?

The redhead/cabelas branded vanes are Q2i without the logo
