Introducing the 300 Tyrant

Fun solution to a practical problem! I'm guessing you already considered using the 300 Dakota and found it wanting in some area? You might try some different brass if you want to squeeze out every bit of case capacity. I love and aften use Peterson brass, but I find it often has slightly less case capacity compared other brands due to it's more robust construction.

I’m actually not familiar with the Dakota. I’ll have to check that out! I’m not so much concerned about a little less case capacity vs. the ability of Petersen to handle lots of pressure just fine.

According to QL predictions, I’m running 80k psi…which is normal with AI cartridges. I have normal bolt lift, primer pockets are staying tight after 5 firings and no ejector shine on these loads. I may be able to run something like Nosler, but there’s no way it will hold up to these pressures, so that would be counterproductive

Hadn't looked at the Dakota in a long time. Seems like a nice case! Just a little longer body than the 33 Nosler this is based off of.
